The most amazing medley of meat and bread combinations can be found in snackbars all across Greece. These dishes have taken on their own trajectories in the expat communities, but they don't cover for the regional differences found all over Greece. In the north, you'll often find the sandwiches topped with spicy mustard or a spicy feta spread instead of the yogurt based tzatziki. There isn't just one generic pita bread, but many styles and preparation tricks to taste like "home". This post covers a few different meat and topping combos with links to previous posts. Everyone has their own preferences, just have fun with it!
